After Wednesday practice, the Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning could say that his sore left knee is no longer an issue for his team. And it was just another piece of good news on the Colts’ injury front during the bye week.
Manning hurt his knee late in the first half of Sunday’s victory at Tennessee, but he still finished the game with topping 300 yards for the fifth straight time. Fortunately the knee has not seemed to be serious as Coach Jim Caldwell said he did not receive a medical report about Manning’s knee.
Other good news on injury front include: safety Bob Sanders took limited par in Wednesday’s practice after being held out for knee surgery; Cornerback Kelvin Hayden also practiced and planned to play Oct. 25 game at St. Louis after missing the last three games with left hamstring injury; wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez did not practice with sprained ligaments in right knee but has started running again off the field. It is likley he will put on his Colts jersey soon to play again on field.
