Seahawks LB Curry will play Sunday despite hip injury

Although he was even unable to walk earlier this week, the Seattle Seahawks rookie linebacker Aaron Curry will be able, or at least very likely to wear back his Seahawks jersey and play for the team on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

By so far he has been able to fully participate in practice for the last two days with a hip pointer injury, which Curry suffered late in the fourth quarter of the Seattle Seahawks’ 34-7 loss to the Houston Texans last Sunday when he was trying to get off a block to tackle Texans running back Arian Foster but teammate David Hawthorne came flying in and put his helmet in Curry’s right hip

Remaining briefly on the field with face down before being carted off, Curry still struggled to even get dressed following the game, despite wincing in pain with every movement. Fortunately, X-rays came back negative and Curry was able to move around better on Monday, thus Jim Mora became optimistic that the linebacker would be able to play this week.
