The Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall missed the preseason game at San Francisco last week for attending his court case in Atlanta. Considering his recent performance, he might miss another preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks Saturday night.
Marshall has been unhappy with the Broncos over their refusal to give him a new contract or trade him. He also felt upset when he knew that players were told by a staffer not to say they were happy for him after acquittal on battery charges last week. He skipped quite a few days of practices and has fallen behind of the Broncos’ new offense. Since returning to the practice field, Marshall had spent two days working almost exclusively with the scout team.
That may be the main reason why the team still hesitated in deciding whether to let Marshall play on Saturday’s preseason game. The Broncos also has not decided on whether to have safety Brian Dawkins make his debut in a broncos jersey because the player just returned to practice this week after a surgery repairing his injured right hand.
