It has been guessed that the Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter may miss this Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots after he missed Friday’s practice with a sore knee, although the team has not made the final decision about the starting linebacker for the game.
Porter has been bothered by an injury to his right knee and hamstring for much of the season, but he did take part in practice earlier this week before Friday’s drill. Having 4½ sacks in the past two games, Porter is now leading the Dolphins with seven sacks this season.
Other players may not put on their Dolphins jersey to play against the Patriots include center Jake Grove and running back Ricky Williams. While Grove missed last weekend’s game against the Buffalo Bills and sat out three days of practice this week, Williams is listed as probable because of a chest injury. Since Williams has taken part in all practices this week, it is very likely that he will play if the chest feels fine by game time.
