He was still wearing the No.7 Michael Vick jersey that is familiar to Atlanta Falcons fans, but it was in the opponent team’s colors. So many fans wearing red and black Falcons jersey were chanting that they wanted the quarterback in green and while eagles jersey.
A rare moment in the league history and Michael Vick would like to remember it for the rest of his life. Already having been named the Eagles’ game captain, Vick heard plenty of boos at the beginning of the game, but after making two hard runs in the first half and scoring a tough rushing touchdown in the third quarter, he began to hear louder cheers than the boos.
Game is a game. Although he had shed tear on the ride over to the game and excitedly hugged former teammates before the game, he knew well that he should win over the fans by playing the ball well. He made it and proved it: those who used to love him or still love him will see that he is worth the love.
