Eagles seem to have plan of keeping QB Vick

It seems that the Philadelphia Eagles will make a choice before the 2010 season with their current three quarterbacks on roster: Donovan McNabb, Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick. Top three questions around the three include: will 34-year-old McNabb retire or stay in Philadelphia? Will Kolb be the new starter in his No. 4 Eagles jersey? Or will Vick stay or be traded in 2010?

According the Eagles president Joe Banner, the team has not made a decision on the future of the trio of quarterbacks but the situation, of course, will be discussed sometime soon. Well, reporters can always find more information. A recent report boldly said that the Eagles plan to keep Vick through 2010 season along with five-time Pro Bowler McNabb and fourth-year Kolb.

A latest reports said that Vick wants to be starter in 2010 season and if the Eagles won’t give him the starting job he would rather be released. If the Eagles choose to sign Vick for 2010 season, they will pay him $5.25 million, a price the team unlikely to pay for a seldom-used quarterback. One possible reason for the reports of keeping Vick with Eagles is that the Eagles are trying to drive up the trade value for Vick.
